DVD Review: The Carter Family: Will the Circle be Unbroken

I became aware of The Carter Family when I heard Uncle Tupelo’s cover of “No Depression” on the 1990 album by the same name.  I’m sure the 2005 hit movie Walk the Line introduced the family name to even more people who were not yet familiar with them.  After a little digging, it becomes quickly apparent how influential this family was on the music that we listen to today.  This documentary, which originally aired on PBS, tells a story that made me wonder how modern music would be different without their influence.  The personal story and drama of this family is intriguing, especially that of A.P. and Sara.
